For future use, whether you are troubleshooting for someone, or anyone happens to read this thread, Intel recommends not upgrading to their newer driver for Windows users using. So, unfortunately, everything I have tried has failed and I am running out of ideas as to what to do next. Also, worthy of note, Intel openly acknowledges there is a known compatibility issue between Windows 8 and this specific wireless product, the Centrino Advanced-N 6230.

Unfortunately, Windows didn't provide me with a driver for my wifi so I tried to install one manually. Hence, I assume it must be a driver issue. I have already tested whether there is a general issue concerning my internet, but obviously there is none since it works perfectly fine with a wifi-stick and with a direct connection to my router. According to that issue, there are no wifis displayed. The point is, I cannot activate my wifi - neither via button nor via system options. Last weekend I upgraded it to Windows 10 Home 64x and everything went well, except for my wifi. I have a Medion Erazer X6816 notebook with a Windows 7 Home Premium 64x Version preinstalled.

I haven't found anything specific on the topic respectively my type, so I'm posting my problem right away. and Intel did not write drivers for Windows 10 Now, please try (a) Totally remove wireless driver, (b) Download the latest driver from Intel above then install to your computer.
